Last saturday nag punta kami ni mama sa divisoria, and I didn't expected na ganon na kadami ang tao sa divisoria halos mag kapalitan na kayo ng mukha ng mga nakakasalubong at nakakatabi mo, halos small steps lang ang maaari mong ihakbang para umusag. 

FOODTRIP #8 Malagkit na suman

Suman is a Filipino dish of sticky rice wrapped in banana or coconut leaves.

made with malagkit (sticky rice), coconut milk and sugar.

after the mass at the Grotto Church we usually go traight to stores just beside the church were you can find different types of kakanin's and pasalubong's

here's how to make suman:

1. Soak the glutinous rice in water for 2-3 hours.

2. After soaking, drain excess water from the glutinous rice then add lye water and stir thoroughly.

3. Prepare the banana leaves.

4. Scoop about 2 tbsps of the rice mixture and place it over the leaf (about 12 by 10 inches in size)

5. Fold the leaf to secure the rice mixture and tie with strips of  banana leaf.

6. Arrange the suman in a cooking pot then pour in enough water. Boil for 1 hour or until cooked.

7. Serve with sugar or condensed milk.

sa halagang P70.00 busog busog ka na talaga, di lang masarap but also mananawa ka sa laki ng serving size nila, sulit ang mahabang paglalakad namin just to find this food store.

PLUS: yema for dessert which cost P5.00/each na mabibili mo sa tabi tabi lang.

BARKADA TRIP

Its nice celebrating your birthdays with your friends, without knowing that they have something special for you, even simple things can make you cry ((:

FOODTRIP #7 ISAWAN

Mang Larry's Isawan, Isawan sa loob ng UP Diliman

a so popular food stand selling different kind of famous street food from the well known isaw up to the tenga nga baboy.

since sa UP located ang review center na pinag rereviehan ko ngayon, hindi ko pwedeng palampasin ang chances na hindi ako makakatikim ng pinag mamalaking isaw ni mang larry, sabi ng karamihan masarap daw talag ang tindang ihaw ihaw ni mang larry, pero bakit ganun hindi ko masyado na enjoy at hindi ako masyadong nasarapan, parang pangkaraniwang isaw lang ang natikman ko nung mga panahong iyon, pati sawsawan parang pang karaniwan lang nothing special sa kinain kong isaw kay mang larry kumpara sa mga natikman ko nang mga ihaw-ihaw kung saan saan man, but still masayang kumain kasama ang mga kaibigan mo, buti nalang may nagtitinda ng dirty ice cream na umaapaw sa dami pampalubag loob sa inaakala kong kasarapan na matitikman ko, hehehe. ..

FOODTRIP #5 the Tagaytay trip

last holy week we went to Mount Carmeli at Tagaytay to attend Fr. Fallers healing mass. then after the mass we go straight to Verde View for a Lunch.

this are some of the foods we ordered:

Fresh fruits for a Healthy dessert.

PS: I wasn't able to take some pictures of the other foods we eat, like dinuguan, kare-kare, pancit palabok, cripy pata chapsue and caldereta, due to the reason that I was very very very busy EATING !!! ((((:
